When there is rain, our dogs are wary because they can feel that lightning or thunder is just around the corner. They are terrified of the roar of thunder that we have to hug them to assure that they are safe. Sometimes our dogs would be shaking in fear and that is not good so we try to check the situation.
Putting them inside a room with a loud sound system is one good measure. They can be a little calm even if they still feel that it is raining. On the other hand, we can do chores at home and we just check on the dogs once in a while.

I don’t have a dog but I used to know someone whose dog went under the bed during thunderstorms and stayed there even after the thunder passed just to be sure it was gone
When I had my dog I cannot remember if the rain or thunder bothered her. I had a cat with my dog and the rain really bothered her. I would pick her up and put her in my arms and talk to her and hug and tell her she will be ok.
I don’t have a dog and I don’t like thunder. I go scampering to my bed and cover my head.
My dog didn’t like thunder, no. I used to cuddle him.
