The Blue Trumpet – thunbergia grandiflora is the favourite of the bumble bee. We have this vine which we call the invader and no amount of effort put in has seen this vine out of our garden.
It just grabs any tree and climbs on it with great speed. When we think we have uprooted it and feel relieved it appears again.
We have this chore which we feel is here to stay. There is one consolation and that is the bumble bee loves the flowers and its nectar.

That is a very beautiful blue flower the bee must like it a lot
But I cannot let it invade my garden (lol)
No, I have not such “stubborn” plants in my garden.
Good for you. It is a task trying to get rid of them.
The picture you post is quite attractive
Thanks. I had to use my zoom feature as if I got any closer the bee would fly away
I have quite a few plants in the garden that are not welcome … I have a lot of work to eradicate them just don’t give up so easily
It is an on going process here too. We have so many other creepers that have to go.
LOVE the photo, the flowers are such a pretty blue
The flowers are no doubt pretty but if we are not alert they will invade the whole garden.
