Don’t let to be confused with this strange word. It’s an academic term for an ancient, mostly women’s pastime, reading fortune from the coffee residue. This is possible only to read from Turkish coffee residue, because it is muddy and thick enough to form all kind of patterns (read as symbols), when a cup is swirled and turned upside down on a coffee plate. Of course, the coffee should be drunk first. 😀

So….. you’ll have to read me fortune from the coffee now….. 😉
I could think about it, if you make coffee for both of us. 😀
I did this a long time ago when I was a girl
As we all used to do, long time ago…… 😀
I love coffee but never heard of this before. Interesting.
That’s because the coffee you drink has no required type of residue. 🙂 Only Turkish (and I think any Oriental coffee could do) is good for reading fortune. 🙂
imao sam prilike da mi čitaju iz šolje i da su mi dosta toga i pogodili…..
You’re right, it’s amazing how accurate the real reading could be. 🙂
I do not drink coffee. But I enjoyed the view of coffee. Perhaps there are people really guessing the future of a cup of coffee.
There are many people who don’t drink coffee, but do it occasionally, in order to learn their future. 🙂 If a seer is highly intuitive, reading could be pretty accurate. 🙂
This is the first time that I have read this. Thanks for the info.
Really?! Here, where I live, it’s a common practice. Even I can read fortune from coffee residue. 🙂 Thanks for reading! 🙂
I haven’t encountered this yet. Ours is more on card reading.
Oh, tarot is one serious fortunetelling discipline. I respect it. 🙂
No, it’s not. It is just an ordinary card used in casino with aces, kings, queens, etc.
