It has started raining and so have the cherries appeared. They are all strewn on the floor. I have no plans to collect them this year.
Tart cherries cannot be eaten but can be used to make juice and wine I used to have bottles preserved both of wine and juice but I am in no mood for this – the pandemic has driven me to this situation.
Our compost pits will be fed with these cherries.

Has the monsoon set in where you live?
-
Yes

No

We have had some rain but not enough this winter to quench our drought, you could hardly call it a monsoon and we now have water restrictions, but enough rain for our gardens for the present
That is one thing we have not experienced – touch wood – shortage of water.
I have only had dark cherries never tart ones. They look refreshing.
If you like anything sour then these cherries are for you.
