Violets are spring flowers, with small, purple flowers and a characteristic soft scent. They are versatile, invasive, bloom under any conditions and are particularly resistant. In certain years with long autumns they bloom even at the beginning of December.
The Ancient Greeks considered the Violet a symbol of fertility and love and the girls used to make purple crowns and wore them on their heads, to be lucky in love.
Nowadays, the leaves and flowers of violets as prepared a very fine perfume, known as a violet perfume.
