Soccer poll ~ 6/26/20

There are two major European soccer games on tap for Friday.  Here is a quick look at the schedule.

Serie A – Lecce at Juventus – 3:45 PM EST (ESPN+).

La Liga – Real Valladolid at Sevilla – 4 PM EST (Bein Sports).

First-place Juventus will be involved in a home match against 18th place Lecce.  Juventus can extend their first-place lead to seven points with a victory.  However, Lecce will be playing with some desperation because a win or a tie will move them out of the relegation zone.  Juventus have won their last three Serie A games in a row, while Lecce has lost their last three games in a row.

If you do not want to watch that game, then you can wait 15 minutes later to watch Sevilla host Real Valladolid.  Sevilla can move into second place with a home victory.  Valladolid sits in 15th place, but they are eight points away from the relegation zone.  Both teams had a draw in their last game, so both teams will be desiring to win this one.

      • Yes, you told me that. I searched for it and she is from the same city Eibar that is a small city in the north of Spain. I want Eibar now to be in the first division another year. I watched yesterday the match between Celta and Barcelona. It was a great match with good goals but in the end, Barcelona was even lucky because they could have lost the game at the last minute. This Tuesday there is a great match between Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid. There are a lot of Barcelona fans who are asking for the removal of Bartomeu, the president, as his decisions are wrong. They are selling Arthur now who is young. To be honest, Barcelona has signed 3 forward players (Griezman, Dembelé and Braithwaite) that perhaps are great failures.

        • Yes, Celta is finally playing like they should have been playing all season long. They have only played good when they are about to be relegated. Barcelona has made some decisions over the past couple of years where the players that they have signed do not fit their system. Barcelona could have saved all of that money just playing Ansu Fati and Riqui Puig. I may have to do a poll on Tuesday for Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.

    • For a team that is good as Valencia, it should not have mattered if the game was on the road or not. I am happy that Eibar may stay up now with a two game cushion from relegation. Now, Sevilla is another story. Sevilla can almost win all of the time at home, but can almost lose all of the time on the road.
