Love ItLove It

So, Love will disappear?

I was watching a Taiwanese drama series. It’s quite a heavy topic about all the sides involved in a shooting (or attack) in a cinema, killing 9 and injuring 21.

It’s only episode 1 that I watched, so far it shows the victims’ families, the attacker’s families, the lawyer looking for the truth and much more.

But then there are more to the drama … one of the victim’s families … the parents are on the verge of divorce. They frequently quarrel and then one day their daughter brought up the topic of divorce…

and then the conversation steered towards, “So, Love would disappear?” To her, her parents were in love so they married and then have her (and her late brother). But now, they’re at each other’s neck …

To be honest, I don’t think I’ve a good answer to this question … but I’ve to really applaud the scriptwriter for bringing question(s) out so blantly. This will be a good drama, but I find it’ll be an “onion-drama” whereby you’ll cry or at least be uncomfortable about certain emotions/topics that it stirred out …

Sometimes, it’s not that it’s bad … it’s bad just because we don’t want to talk about it.

  1. Love doesn’t disappear, it changes. Just like matter and energy.
But I see you wrote that already. Great minds think alike. ?
Love doesn’t always turn into something bad, it might still be good but weaker, too weak to hold people together like it used to be, but these people still care for each other.

“Onion-drama”, interesting word. Most dramas are onion-dramas for me though. ?

Ah, perhaps you’re right … it doesn’t turn into something bad but just got weaker …

Haha, most drama except comedy try to chop some onions somewhere … :p

  2. Every situation is different. Sometimes people think they are in love, but find out later they are not. It happens and it is sad for the children especially during a divorce. Other times the parents love each other but cannot live with each other. It can get complicated.

    • Yes … I think each family is different and their way of loving is different. Some can be healthy, while some not so. Or perhaps love is an energy and energy transform or convert into other forms …? I’m not sure …

      • Yes I agree we really don’t know what love is perhaps. I don’t know if anyone truly knows. I just know when you fall in love, you know it. 🙂
