Slave to the cellphone

You cannot deny that most people, if not all, are not only addicted to their phones but being slaves. I see so many who are driving and using their phone at the same time. Those walking in the streets are either holding their phones if not using them. And do you know someone who sleeps with the phone far away? It always beside him while he is sleeping.

Now with the corona virus problem, the more that people are glued to their phones while on a lockdown. The isolation is also a reason for people to use more of their phones. So do you think the phone is a life saver in this critical times?

  1. You are so so right. Before this virus came into my country when I would go to town on my scooter I would always have someone just stop what they are doing to check their phone.
They would stop in their tracks and not pay attention to what is going on around them. It is very sad. I use my phone only when I need to and turn it off when not using it.

    • In Kingston or Half Way Tree; two busy areas, you’ll see people with a phone slapped to their head, oblivious to what is happening around them and a purse picker or pocket picker, moving off with their wallets
