Another late upload actually. This was taken during the first full moon of 2020. I was trying to frame the moon within the steel bars of an unfinished structure outside our house. Unfortunately, it was a very cloudy evening.
I am really amazed at how the phone camera technology has improved over the years. Just a few years, it was almost impossible to take a low-light photo using the phone camera.
I took the photo using my Huawei P30 lite. Its triple camera, with the assistance of its AI, is capable of taking amazingly sharp pictures in a low-light environment. Perhaps it could have been a more stunning photo had I used a more expensive and more powerful P30 Pro or a DSLR camera.

Do you like taking photos in a low-light environment?

Thanks. tasartcraft. It’s not quite easy to make one using a smartphone… but today’s technology make it a bit easier.
Yeah. A common problem when using a phone camera. You need to have steady hands to get a good image in a low light environment. Unless your phone has a good AI.
“Hehehe, yes, I agree… But even with that, it’s hard to capture it with a low light… What is AI?”
New phones have Artificial Intelligence that takes care of the sharpening and filtering the image that would have been extremely difficult to do manually.
Very dramatic sky and moon flashes.
Thank you, lacho59. It was a bit cloudy though. 🙂
Super shot. I have the same phone but I can’t make such a good picture.
Thanks, Vidocka. If you have the same phone, I believe you can take good photos as well. 🙂
Good to see you. Love this type of photography.
Thanks, Carol.
I have always been fascinated with low-light photography. It’s not easy though.
great shot, well framed with the trees. low-light pictures are amazing!
Thanks, DocAnderson. Yeah, low-light pictures are fascinating. Not easy to take though.
they are very hard to take, you framed this one really well!!
Good idea. I think I have one among the trees.
