Today my goal is as much silence as possible. Speak only when I am directly spoken to and keep the number of words at a minimum. If I didn’t have to be attached to the iv and monitor and if I didn’t have to work, it would be a day to drive to the mountain top and just listen.
I will type some today and work and when that is over, I will put in earplugs and head to bed. Silence often gives me space and time to heal. (They figure it out quite quickly when I just stare at them in the morning, give my head a little shake and go to a room in the house where I can close the door. (Once I locked myself in my bathroom for 28 hours. It was peaceful.
Of course, typing doesn’t count, because it’s not “talking”. The sound of fingers on the keyboard are often quite comforting.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. It is appreciated.
Silence is golden. An old saying but so true. I require lots of alone and silent time every day.
