The Serie A is finally back with a doubleheader today and tomorrow to make up some matches before the postponement due to the pandemic. Here is the schedule for today in Italy. Both matches will be on ESPN+.
Parma at Torino – 1:30 PM EST.
Cagliari at Hellas Verona – 3:45 PM EST.
Torino has been usually at the top half of the table for the last decade, but they are only two points away from the relegation zone. Parma is closing in on their historic past of being a soccer superpower. A win for Parma could move them from 9th place up to 7th place.
Cagliari has not won in their last five matches. During that time, Hellas Verona jumped past Cagliari into eighth place. However, the margin between these two teams are close because a win by Cagliari would put them in a tie with Verona. A win for Verona would have them move their way into 7th place even if Parma wins.

parma and verona for me
these are teams I haven’t seen in years so this one is harder.
Both of these games could go either way. Torino and Cagliari have better rosters overall, but Parma and Verona play with heart and energy.
i just picked the teams I knew, and suspect i was wrong!
Nope, you were right – Parma and Torino was a 1-1 draw. Verona won 2-1 over Cagliari.
i finished exactly in the middle
I love this series you’ve been doing! thank you for taking the time!
Napoli did beat Juventus the other day to win a title. This was great news for the world of football.
Yes, I wanted Napoli to win too. The funniest part is that Cristiano Ronaldo really didn’t want to take the penalty kick so Juventus put him fifth in line to take the kick. He didn’t even have a chance to take a penalty kick. Meret is a real good goalkeeper, but he might not ever start for Italy ahead of Donnaruma.
