It hasn’t taken long for a Pukako to make friends with us in Bucklands Beach. He has a partner that is not so bold to take food.
Every morning he makes an appearance and walks up to the ranch slider to show us he is wanting our attention..
Never thought I could get attached to a Pukako but there it is.
Here he is on the roof..The Pukako is a New Zealand type of Swamp Hen.

Near my work there is a peacock who lives near a park. We became friends with him.
Yes, I can believe that, Peacocks are special birds..There are a few around Mangere Bridge and Ambury farm..Thanks Elenka.

Pukakos often do that, they are very graceful creatures and dainty eaters..
