This huge grasshopper had jumped on me when I took the dogs for a walk.i thought i had shooed it off and walked back home. As i entered i felt something move on my skirt. Quickly i tried to brush it off and there was this huge guy.
I kind of liked him a lot, but he was going crazy jumping on curtains and such, the dogs were losing their sanity too. I had no choice but too shoo him off, but only after i got a decent picture of him.

We see these often in the yard and garden. I do not want them jumping in me. But they are friendly.
They are okay. But they can startle you.

That is very true. I don’t like them on me.
I suspect if, and it is a big if, the grasshopper knew you were human it probably wouldn’t jump on you. to the grasshopper, you are a tree. When you started moving, its natural reaction was to hold on!
I bet your dogs went nuts while it was hopping around!
LOL Doc, Hmm I don’t mind being a tree. LOL but they always jump on people when we walk on grass.

Grasshoppers are the friendly lot and they love to settle on people.
I am not sure of they are friendly, but I know that they are harmless.
