RIP Abdul Qadir

Legendary leg spinner and most decent test cricketer Abdul Qadir passed away today at Lahore in the age of 64. He was one of the best leg spinner in the history of cricket.

Abdul Qadir was born on 15th Sep 1955 at Lahore Pakistan. He represented Pakistan cricket team in 67 test matches and 132 ODI matches during 1977 to 1990. He took 236 test and 132 ODI wickets for Pakistan. He also served Pakistan cricket as chief selector of national team  back in 2004.

Abdul Qadir was inventor of Goggly. Australian leg spin legend Shane Warne used to visit Abdul Qadir’s residence for learning the art of Goggly and Leg spin. Recently retired South African leg spinner Imran Tahir was also student of Abdul Qadir. Cricket world will always remember Abdul Qadir for his great services towards cricket.
