We’re Hooked
We are totally hooked on watching our little Bald Eagle Family. They are about 12 miles from the house. If people were paying attention many could spot the big nest and Bald eagles, but so far there are just a few of us that are passionate about the family.
The young ones are not flying yet, but it won’t be long. They are getting bigger every day. We can see that their flight feathers are coming in. They are spending more time flapping and exercising their wings.
The parents are now rarely there at the same time. One is out hunting and the other stays watch on a nearby tree.
We are not disturbing the family. We are far away and using binoculars and zoom lenses for the pictures.
About four miles from the house the other direction are the osprey. We have seen only one chick so far. We assume another may hatch today. Again we aren’t close enough to disturb them.
I have to say when nature is around television takes a back seat at our house.

That sounds wonderful. Let us know what else happens. I remember enjoying the nests of cranes in Latvia way up high on top of wooden electric poles.
Interesting article and I hope to chick too???
You know how I love nature. I would probably camp out if they were that close to my home! Please keep us updated.
