Narcissus …

Narcissus is the herald of spring. The color of daffodils has a natural, artistic and mythological meaning. With its color and subtle appearance it illuminates and visually makes the interior and exterior of the home striking.Legend has it that the narcissus is named after a young man in Greek mythology Narcissus. Beautiful but cool, he did not want to return love to the forest nymph Echo, who died of unrequited love. The gods curse him, and one day Narcissus sees his reflection on the surface of the lake and falls in love with it. But the more he tried to hug himself, to kiss the lips that came close to him, the more he was disappointed and suffering, because he realized that it was impossible. He experiences loss and sadness for the first time, and dies. Those who searched for his body found only a beautiful flower and named it after his name – Narcissus.

Narcissus has elongated leaves, in blue-green color. It has single flowers, although it sometimes happens that one stem gives two flowers. These flowers thrive in the Alps, the Carpathian Wreaths and are part of the Alpine – Mediterranean flora. It is grown as an ornamental plant, but if you didn’t know, daffodils contain certain poisonous substances, so be careful when cultivating. Gift a bouquet of daffodils to a person you consider ambitious, self-aware and persistent, as this will emphasize her uniqueness. And if there is a person near you who thinks you are still “living in the clouds” – please send a single daffodil flower to her address, at the same time sending more than a clear message that the right time has come to land and look back the world around you.
