This picture was taken from my window almost 8 years ago. This window was my favorite place to watch birds. This huge tree next to our apartment was where I watched birds all day long and the moon by night. On fullmoon days I would not allow my husband to draw the curtains, I often lay on my bed watching the moon casting its silver glow across the landscape. It was also magical to watch the gossamer clouds float across the moon in shades of purples grays and silver every now and then.
I miss my small apartment and the all the trees around it. Being on second floor I could look right into the trees and often into the nest of the birds. However, taking pictures of birds wasn’t so easy because of the thick branches and the leaves.
There is beauty all around. We just need to look with eyes of wonder at the most common things.

It’s understandable why that window is your favorite place. I like to enjoy the moon and the silence of the night outside the terrace, under the sky, while daydreaming…
Hmm that is how I am too, I love day dreaming looking at the moon. 😀
Well, who knows someday we will meet in reverie…
Wouldn’t that be a lovely way to meet like minded people.
These are my favorite shots when there is a tree silhouette. great view.
So true, I love the view we had through those shimmering leaves.
somewhere out there – the song I shared last week for Song Saturday is all about the moon.
I often watch it, wonder about it, study it with a telescope. The moon is a unique thing.
I just visited that post of yours. Reminded me of my time with my boys when they were little.
thank you – i love this post. You inspired me!
Thank you, for letting yourself be inspired. 😀
happens on occasion. It is something unpredictable and I like that!
Inspiration that lead us to hear you sing your song is great occasionally. 😀
That is very beautiful I always love taking photos of the full moon.
Moonlit nights really have something so beautiful and calming about them.
Beauty can be found anywhere. You have the ability to see that. Gorgeous capture here.
That is right, we just need to see them with eyes of appreciation.
