I really do not know why this spoon is called melon ball spoon as one can make use of it for different fruits and may be marsh mellow, jelly – you name it .
I have used the spoon for making mango balls. I placed them back in the skin and garnished with whipped cream, refrigerated it for half an hour and served it cold with a wafer biscuit.
The balls you see in the image are from various fruits and soaked in fruit juices. They can also be soaked in liquor.

I have not used it before but it would be very effective and I guess fruit balls would taste delicious soaked in liquor but I would not eat too many at that rate.
You can do that if you have a party to organise.
I soaked balls of different fruits in vermuth … I don’t like alcohol, it’s just a great drink
Liquor mixed in fruits reduces its strength.
That’s why it tastes so much better when you don’t feel that much alcohol, dear Grace
Gee, that picture is truly attractive to my taste buds.
Those balls in the photo look like they have been soaked in liquor (lol)
I have to buy such a spoon. The idea of liquor is great.
I have only soaked water melon balls in it own juice but never with liquor
I have one of these spoons and a friend made some melon balls with liquor, it was good.
That must have tasted great. I have never tried adding liquor. May be I could do that with gin
I don’t drink liqueur, I like to enjoy my fruits naturally.
I don’t either but I did not know these balls could be soaked in liquor. I will try and see how they taste.
