Another post for Kim’s June challenge about HAPPINESS. Click on the purple link for the details.
I was out watering my garden earlier and snapped a shot of my marigolds. I have yellow and orange this year. This plant is an annual. So I have to buy them each year, they only bloom for the season. They have a strong odor that keep a lot of insects away. Many will plant these along side their gardens, to keep pests away. I just like the color in my garden. They come in all colors and varieties. I like the yellow and orange together with the green foliage. All of the blooms in my garden always make me smile and create happiness each and every day I can see them bloom.

Thank you so very much!
Marigolds and monarchs are key players in the day of the dead celebration, so whenever I see either, Dia de los Muertos is the first place I go…
I have not heard of this celebration. Something else to learn about. Marigolds and monarchs are two of my favorite things in my garden.
It is a South and Central American tradition, so of course we do it in my neck of the woods. One of my favorite holidays…
Another celebration I am reading about. Enjoy! Looks like it will be held in October.
I am unclear if it is the last day of October or the first day of November- there is a midnight element that confuses me…
They are very pretty flowers….and yellow and orange are great colors!
Thanks, I love this combination. Have a great night.
