Mango curry a once a year dish in our kitchen

There are certain dishes that we make just once a year and mango curry is one such.  There are items also  we make only during Christmas time

We have mangoes growing in our garden and get to eat them, make juice and also sell some of them.

Mango curry is my favourite dish.  You just peel the ripe mangoes and place them in a curry made of turmeric and chilli powder with sufficient water.  Once the mangoes are cooked enough jaggery is added to sweeten the curry.  It is then tempered with mustard crackled in oil.
