It is called Magic Berry and some others call it Miracle Fruit. The strange name is due to the effect of that berry in our taste buds. When you eat the berry, the taste buds will have a fixation with the sweet flavor that anything you eat afterwards will taste sweet. The litmus test is the lemon which would taste sweet. The sweet effect lasts for 4 hours or so.
