Since my nerves are at ropes end, let’s talk horse racing Tomorrow is the post draw for the Kentucky Derby. This is a big deal and can change the race in a number of ways. This determines where the horse will enter the track. Some horses like to be on the rail. Some make great runs from outside. The Post Draw is simply luck of the draw and nothing can be done to change the draw. (Pictured is a race track of turf, but the Derby is not run on turf.)
Those who are trying to figure out the odds and who may win the race pay attention to the post draw, the weather and other things.
I will watch with interest to where the horses will be starting.

I have actually held a mint julip at the Derby (Greenwood to Louisville is roughly a 2-hour drive) the Kentucky Derby is an amazing spectacle!
Hilarious, I live less than an hour from Pimlico, and we haven’t been in 8 years since we moved to Maryland.
I love horses, they are so elegant animals, but I have never been in the horse races.
I absolutely love horses. When I lived in NYC I often went to the Bellmont Race Track. I have always had a dream to go to Louisville to see the Kentucky Derby. Maybe someday.
I hope that they fixed the problem at Santa Anita with all of the horses dying.
