I’ve heard of this, but never done it…probably wouldn’t but if you want to that’s up to you!

Never heard of this before.
Jailbreak/rooting is modifying your device (phone) to remove restrictions imposed by the manufacturer. So you can start to install more apps and tweaks and even do some customisation to your phone.
The downside is that it will weaken your phone security and void the warranty. But the good thing is, you can download games for free!! hehehehe
I would opt not to do this because of the security risk.
