This is not etched in stone, these blades of grass are growing in a piece of ceramic tile. Nature amazes me all the time. This is a ceramic tile I had fixed in front of our home to place some of my sun loving plants. As I was getting ready to clean up the tile before putting another bunch of plants i found this tuft of grass growing in a tiny hole in the tile. I noticed it first a week ago, but I thought it would die due to the heat , its been two weeks now and it is still growing , very slowly but surely.
I decided to clean just around this area and leave the tuft of grass as it is, I am curious to see how long it will grow there. There is so soil at all , just fine dust from what flies around. I’d like to see how it survives in this completely unfavorable environment.

This is proof that there are no barriers and boundaries for nature.
Absolutely , remember it was first there before we spoiled everything around us.
There used to be a show (after humans) that talked about how quickly nature would take over the world when humans were gone.
I am sure if we were not here to meddle with things nature would have taken over by now.
that was what the show used to do, humans gone 10 years things are changing. Humans gone 100 years, you didn’t see any human buildings left!
It would be paradise then. Sad to think we humans mess up everything we do.
My father’s hero Aldo Leopold, worked for 50 years in the earlier part of the last century (around 1910 to 1950) to make sure Parts of the Wisconsin River were left untouched by humans forever.
The grass or weeds will find such a small hole or hole and survive …. I’ve seen it even as it grows out of the rock … I don’t know but it grows
True, they grow and even flourish in crevices of rocks. Nature is amazing.
It is still growing I am waiting and watching. m
Life always finds a way.
And sometimes strange ways too.
A really unusual plant, I wonder what you will discover.
Very unusual, nature always makes life interesting.
I always try to figure things out. 🙂
Life is like a puzzle at times and figuring things out makes it more interesting.
