Changing money is needed if travel into a foreign country. Some people have business with different currencies so they also often change money. When we change money, we lose part of its value since money exchange service take a fee. Some people follow how rates are changing and earn from it. In Croatia official currency is the Kuna (HRK) but people oftenbsend money gifts in euros.

Like the others, the money I have in PayPal will automatically be converted in Philippine money once I withdraw it to my bank. I am thinking of opening a dollar account in the coming days. So maybe when I request money from PayPal, it will remain in Dollar currency. I haven’t tried it so I’m not sure of it.
In Croatia we don’t have that option anymore. We have to everytime request money transfer.
I rarely travel so have no need to do this.
Mostly online like PayPal and through mobile money transfer.
I use to change money week ago from traveling abroad from my trusted money changer.
I never changed money except on PayPal, but I guess that’s kind of useless as the site will automatically convert it during a purchase, if necessary.
