The picture is not of my grandson, but a model. Although he looks a like one of my grandsons. Last night I was too tired to stay up as late as they wanted. I told them they could stay up if they would be respectful, quiet and follow the rules.
In the past Virily had been on the safe list for them and I forgot to take it off and lock it so they couldn’t read. So this morning we are having some big teaching moments and working together to make some decisions. They read everything I have written and they are worried about me. They read the post by the new member who got sworn at and they are angry about that. “Gramps, short for Grandpa is what they called their grandfather who passed away.” So that one really hit home for them. They concluded a laughing apology was not true and “Gramps” deserved to have the comment taken off. I simply listened and said “it wasn’t my call.”
I received a very long lecture about freedom speech doesn’t mean you are not responsible for the words you say. Then the younger one said “If not you than who?” and stomped off to find Grandpa.
I tried to explain that whatever I tried to would just make me a target and I would have to deal with it all again. He said again “If not you than who?”
Okay, what do you want me to do? They left the room to conspire!
They came back with this.
“Virily people – please put the rules at the end of every post you write for the next thirty days.” I don’t know that I will do it for the next 30 days, but I will do it today. It is a reminder for EVERYONE, all the virily people, from my grandsons.

I find these words to be hateful. The post was a lesson and journey I was sharing about my grandsons and my family.
I guess you and I have very different understanding of expected behaviors. I have politely asked you to stop and you won’t so I guess I will just keep letting your true colors fly. Just be who you are and I will be me. I have nothing to be ashamed of and I will protect my grandsons with vigor.

I’m not for attacking/rude/insensitive comments …
I don’t know what defines negative comments (everyone have their own definition) … so I won’t comment on that.
I noticed this on Doc’s posts but I posted mine before reading. A good idea to add.

I am lucky to have married a man with children! I do feel blessed.

we did, we actually got three of our long term projects done. A very productive family weekend that ended up outside by the fireplace roasting marshmallows!
Comments must be well thought out before they are published. Here we have to have fun, not to be vulgar and filled with negative energy. If someone is in such a state it is better not to comment.
