She bases her life on reason and emotion
It’s like walking on a tightrope
I can see, I can understand and all I can do is watch
She hears nothing any longer but the echos in her mind
Today she whispered, give me a reason
I don’t have an answer for her
The light grows dimmer every day
I can see it
I can understand it
I am an outsider looking in
I don’t know where she has gone
I just know she’s no longer here
Thanks for taking the time to comment. So very few do now.
wow what a wonderful poem. I would say a conversation with your mother comes through. the poem is haunting.
