That is the atmosphere here – far from the madding crowd. It was not easy to take this decision after living in the city our entire prime life but we could see on the horizon what to expect and so we took the plunge – no regrets.
Can you see Pinkie our pet in the photo? That is how relaxed one feels here. The only sound is that of birds and an occasional vehicle.
We have all the facilities and there are no queues for anything. Everything is laid back.

I too have moved from a big city to the countryside, dear Grace… even now I haven’t fully adapted… it’s a big change
In the beginning you do miss city life but soon you will get to like the rural settings.
I have bought a small place in a semi urban setting and waiting to move in there. The boys don’t like the idea very much though , but then there are a few more years for us to start planning for that.
I gave up my job just so that I could fulfil my dream of constructing our house designed by me.
We shifted soon after my husband’s retirement No regrets at all.
You will like it too.
And certainly not after one retires.
My home is sort of rural, until all the new homes were built but it is still quiet. Cute photo!
We too have buildings on the highway but not so many on the side roads.
Because I live in the countryside, I understand your enthusiasm.
Shifting from city life to here it make a difference
So cute! I don’t like fast life and big cities much either.
