Vitamins are essential for the optimal functioning of the body. If you do not know if you are consuming the right amount of vitamins then be aware of the signs of your body. These symptoms are the way the body shows that there is a deficiency of vitamins. They may appear, according to the respective need, in various parts of our body.
Pay attention to these six signs:
- Cracks in the corner of the mouth – This sign points to a deficiency of B vitamins, mainly B2, B3 and B12, as well as the lack of iron and zinc. In this case, the solution is to increase consumption of products rich in these nutrients, such as salmon, eggs, tuna, lentils, peanuts or dehydrated tomato.
- Severe hair loss – You should increase the consumption of foods rich in vitamin B8 or biotin, such as avocados, cauliflower, nuts, bananas.
- Leg cramps – Shows that there is a deficiency of calcium and potassium in the body. Bet on the consumption of almonds, apples, vegetables, bananas and avocado.
- You always have flu – This means that the immune system is weak, meaning there is insufficient vitamin C. This vitamin is present in foods such as orange, kiwi, cashew, broccoli, strawberries and peppers.
- Night blindness – Caused by vitamin A deficiency, night blindness causes individuals suffering from this condition to get blurred vision at night. Carrots are a great source of this vitamin.
- Tingling – Deficiency of B-complex vitamins, more precisely B6 and B12 causes a generalized tingling sensation. These symptoms can be extended to depression, fatigue, anemia, hormonal disorders and anxiety.
The deficiency of vitamins does not necessarily cause diseases but leaves the organism more fragile and predisposed to develop some pathologies. Without the necessary components, the body runs out of ‘fuel’ to protect against viruses and bacteria.
