Trying something a little different with my photos. I will share two photos with you. They are both of my Mandevilla flower blooming on my deck, with rain drops. Click the one you like the best. I took the photo and then edited in black and white. I prefer unedited photos. But there are times that call for edits, such as black and white.

I chose the first photo, but didn’t know how to answer the 2nd question. I like edited photos just as well as natural/unedited ones.
It was a little confusing but thanks for commenting.
I like your flower pictures. For me personally, the adjustment is imperative. My new camera is over 8MB. If I do not edit them, I can not post them. This is another problem on this site that I’m going to propose to the Administrators for resolution.
I wish you luck and surely there is an easier way to get your photos resized to upload.
Your flower photos are perfect the way they are naturally, so for your flowers i would say no editing is ever needed.
You are way too kind to me my friend. 🙂
If I’m honest, both pictures are nice – I’m more of a natural person-just like a woman haha
How kind of you, I have to agree with you.
I like the black and white one in this Carol. Ah the edit question. How long do you have? giggles. I like to enhance colors, lighten shadows, and crop. I like it best if you don’t have to do anything. I prefer natural photos the best most of the time. Tough question there.
It is a little different. I know I do the same tiny edits a lot, cropping mainly.
I guess I usually prefer color to black and white. I rarely do any edits except for resizing or cropping. Some photos do need trimming for online use and lower resolution.
Same here and so good to see you Barbara.
I get here when I have time. I don’t have a lot of time.
Carol, I think that black and white photography looks nice on paper in a brick and mortar gallery, but because of the backlighting, it just isn’t the same online. Photo editors are very useful, but in my opinion the best edited photos are the ones you cannot tell were edited.
I agree with you, the quality is not as good online.
.. as for the editing, that is why I never use PhotoShop. I like to be as subtle as possible.
Thanks for the tip Alex, for just making me pause and think for a second. 🙂
