Diwali or deepavali is a Hindu festival celebrated by people all over India to celebrate the killing of Narakasur, the demon. It is a festival of lights. People exchange sweets and lit firecrackers in enjoyment. But, today, it has become very noisy and unbearable. It has lost its original purpose, I think. What do you think? I do not celebrate but have read stories about the holiday.

The New year celebration is okay. It is not as noisy as Diwali.
i have seen the festival of lights but we don’t celebrate.
Yeah. There are many people who see the festival of lights but do not celebrate.
I was in Thailand at the time, i would have happily celebrated but wasn’t invited! 🙂
