College Football National Championship 2018: Alabama vs. Georgia

We get the pleasure of watching two college football teams in the Southeastern Conference battle it out for the College Football National Championship. If someone had asked me if I thought that there would be two teams in the SEC playing in the College Football National Championship game, I probably would have laughed.  Many including myself did not think that either would be in the College Football National Championship game, but you cannot predict anything nowadays in the unpredictable world of college football, and we all seen that on New Year’s Day in other match ups as well.

As for who I’m going for, I am torn between both because with the University of Georgia winning it brings new energy to the podium versus another championship win by the University of Alabama who has a total of fifteen National Championships compared to Georgia’s two National Championships, so that is why I would like Georgia to win.

As for Alabama winning the College Football Championship, it is more due to the fact of Coach Nick Saban tying Coach Bear Bryant’s record of six National Championships. What is amazing about Nick Saban is the fact that he is nearing his sixth career National Championship win within a fifteen-year time span just three years short of Bear Bryant’s accomplishment of six within eighteen years at the University of Alabama.  Unlike Bear Bryant, Nick Saban has won one National Championship at Louisiana State University and four at the University of Alabama versus Bear Bryant winning all his titles at the University of Alabama.

Choosing between the University of Alabama and the University of Georgia, I am predicting that the University of Alabama will pull off the win in a close game, but anything can happen.
