A Japanese friend is saddened by what is happening to world. This corona virus is on a rampage that it has affected almost everything, from celebrations to sports and even any kind of events. In other words, socializing is down and out for now. Tourists are gone and tourist spots are suffering. The sakura or commonly known as cherry blossoms is a spectacle that attracts so many tourists. This year by next week, the trees would be in full bloom for the cherry blossom spectacle.
It’s nice to think that I had experienced the sakura last year as evident in the photo. The feeling is strange that I was like in a fantasy land. It was cold and piercing my flesh that my lips cracked. But it was worth it just to see and feel the cherry blossoms. Here’s hoping that next year I could go back for those wonderful flowers.

That’s a lovely photo, Alex. You are lucky to have been there for the hanami. Hopefully next spring we will all be able to celebrate again 🙂
Unfortunately, I have never been to Tokyo, Alex. I would love to though. I love the picture of the blossom tree. It’s very pretty.
This virus is really causing lots of damage everywhere and not just some places. It seems like most countries are affected by it or will be.
