We have a howthorn bush which has loads of orange fruits – a sight for sore eyes. Not just for the eyes but the birds love them.
I saw this cuckoo helping himself with the fruits and I was just inches away from him as I was on the other side of the window. I clicked him comfortably . He did not see me. I have actually clicked a video watching him relish those fruits. Birds do not trust human beings unless they are caged like the parrots who become friends afer a while. I am not in faovur of caging birds.
Watching birds having their freedom is what makes my day.

I like caged birds so as to look them close by than miles away in the air or on top of the tree but is also intriguing watching them flying and perched on a tree.
I prefer them to be free as in cages they do not get to fly
We have had a few caged birds, all of them rescued and if possible rehabilitated. However most birds raised as pets cannot survive in the open. They become easy prey and so have to live in cages.
They should not be kept in cages in the firist place
