Caught the guy red handed

We have a howthorn bush which has loads of orange fruits – a sight for sore eyes.  Not just for the eyes but the birds love them.

I saw  this cuckoo helping  himself with the fruits and I was just inches away from him as I was on the other side of the window.  I clicked him  comfortably .  He did not see me.  I have actually clicked a video watching him relish those fruits.  Birds do not trust human beings unless they are caged like the parrots who become friends afer a while.  I am not in faovur of caging birds.

Watching birds having their freedom is what makes my day.

  1. We have had a few caged birds, all of them rescued and if possible rehabilitated. However most birds raised as pets cannot survive in the open. They become easy prey and so have to live in cages.
