We are all there thanking the Lord for the nice time we had at the Christmas party I organised for the kids and senior citizens from an old age home. Solitaire was buzzing with happy activity singing, dancing, music, games, et..al
The lit candles bound us together in prayer. There were prayers and hymns of gratitude. Staying in the attitude of gratitude is the way to go that will help us tide through difficult times.
Yet another memory created.

I do my praying at home. I light candles only on special days like in remembrance of birthdays and such.
Same here. I have a scented candle too gifted to me.
No we do not need any candle while praying
We cannot do without candles Even while praying in churches candles are lit.
