Burial or cremation

In the olden days, cremation is unthinkable especially for the Catholics whose tradition is burying the dead after holding the wake for some days. The wake is one way of giving the loved ones the time to seek the budget for the cost of the funeral and the burial lot.

But maybe the modern times have made people practical as to embrace the new trend of cremation. Unlike when the dead is buried, the coffin goes underground which means a big expense. For cremation, it is much cheaper and convenient since the ashes can be put in any place you desire. For those with no budget for the vault in the columbary the urn can stay at home indefinitely.
