This morning I took this picture of an asian wasp. They are 10 times bigger than our little honey bees and their population are growing dangerously. They invaded our country last year and several people died already bitten by these wasps.
They neither pollinate nor produce honey and worst they are killing our little precious bees. Several measures are being taken to destry their nests but we are losing this battle against them.

Is your country facing an invasion of asian wasp?
-
Yes
-
No
-
I did not know that. It is horrible
the problem of invasive species is going to impact the world more and more. Humans move around, bugs catch a ride!
back during colonial times, the rats hitched a ride and successfully dominated many ecosystems
including spreading the black death all through Europe in less than 4 months.
to be fair, the rats were already in Europe so it isn’t the same thing. but the consensus is that the plague propagated along the silk road, so it isn’t entirely different either…
No invasions but I do see these in my yard.
Here is already too cold for them.
We have ordinary axes living here, dear Maria … but it is true that there were an abnormal number of them this year and they were very annoying
These asian wasp are very agressive, I am glad you don’t have these in your country.
I had a set trap and I killed a lot of them … they are very annoying … they just aren’t aggressive
you are right, asian wasp is winning the battle.
It is worrying, our bees are disappearing.
