My Mom was the Queen of Compromise. She could make you believe that you came up with the most wonderful ideas, with just a little bit of compromise. I remember the day she announced that we were going to eat an apple a day. I don’t mind apples, but I don’t particularly like the peels.
Mom put on her most positive smile and upbeat tone. “No problem, you can eat them separately.” I don’t know why, but it worked.
So why eat an apple a day? There are so many health benefits and so many different kinds of apples it never gets boring.
Let’s take a look at some of the many benefits of eating apples.
1. Apples contain antioxidants. Antioxidants are substances that removes potentially damaging oxidizing agents in a living organism.

4. Apples are like little nutrient packs. The have flavonoids, vitamin C, vitamin A, iron, calcium and phosphorous.
5. In two studies it was reported that eating 5 apples a week reduces the risk of asthma.
