For the female blackbird it becomes darker in the winter.
All New Zealand Blackbirds have yellow beaks.

Thanks Carol, yes, the Blackbird talks but does not seem that aggressive but they can be aggressive to each other
I had two nests of these in my backyard this year. Very noisy but not aggressive at all.
The female blackbird’s coat looks nice in brown.
