Broccoli is another negative calorie food that is healthy. A cupful has 135% of the daily allowance of vitamin C. It is also high in vitamin A, folate, manganese, potassium, phosphorus, and magnesium. The glycemic index is 3.

Another favorite in many different ways. Especially with garlic, a little pat of butter and lemon.
When we got our rice steamer (a Christmas gift for my wife), the first thing we actually cooked in it was broccoli. lol
I have tried these, and am not a fan….but that’s great to know that about them
The key, when they are cooked, is to not overcook them. The same is true of cauliflower. Overcooking releases sulfur compounds that aren’t very good tasting or smelling.
It’s not the taste of the brocolli I didn’t like….it was actually the texture….that’s a big thing for me.
Hmm…I don’t think I’ve ever considered the texture, or even noticed it. Of course, for me, that is true of most foods, except maybe okra and mallow.
i don’t think that’s a problem for most…except for extremely picky eaters (like me). Texture is always what I notice before taste.
Another favorite good raw with ranch dressing and cooked with cheese.
I like them that way, too!
i usually like eating raw broccoli with a dip, but now i have boccoli but out of dips.
I love steamed broccoli with mayonnaise.
