This is pretty much exactly what I saw in my mind’s eye when I was working on the original but the composition would have to be tweaked to be the background here

I do remember the Sinbad Junior cartoons. The voice of the parrot was worked by the late Mel Blanc.
these were live action, but the special fx were all stop motion animation…
No I have never seen the Sinbad movies that you have mentioned.

This is cool too. Indeed Angkor Wat was originally a Hindu temple which gradually became a Buddhist temple. I think, are you trying to get out of the box?
Because I think, Rangda and Barong only exist in Bali. Or?
