Its first official language is the Catalan, then follows the Spanish language. Barcelona is among the world’s leading cultural, fashion, sport, education and science centers. Since 2011 Barcelona is leading on the list of smart cities in Europe. What helps the city in the impovement is the sea port which is one of the Europe’s principals, as well as the international airport which connects it with countries over the ocean and is believed to handle over 40 million passengers every year which is a huge number!
