People who like to keep their lawns “well-manicured” don’t realize that the “weeds” they’re killing are great medicine. I’m looking forward to making dandelion tea, salads, and even wine!
So how is dandelion wine? I’ve always wondered since I heard the song…

Dandelion wine is excellent so long as it is aged with honey and raisins. Otherwise, it can be quite bitter; but it is still very effective ?

One wonders if there isn’t a way to dilute the bitterness without making it sweet

No dandelions yet for us. They are still covered with snow. When that melts, though, they will be growing vigorously and it will be time to make up a pot of spring dandelion crowns.

My mom used to take me dandelion picking when I was a kid. Then we’d cook up aa whole potfull and eat them with salt and vinegar.

That sounds absolutely amazing! I’ll have to try them that way 🙂 My children enjoy picking them with me. This year, I have two grandbabies to help. This is going to be fun 🙂

I have a write-up upcoming on dandelions 🙂 I think more people should know what they’re missing by killing these healing plants!

Great views! I choose nature as a friend in everything, also in maintaining health and healing.
