Wander project the Cobblestone path

The Master gathered his students. The came to an area at the edge of the school and sat with the Master. The Master was silent when they arrived, so the students paused and reflected.

The Master then spoke.

“I wish to build a cobblestone path around our school.”

The students looked up and paused.

“Cobblestones are the uneven master.” One of the students said.

“yes, they are, and that is why they will make a great path around our school.”

The students paused.  They sat, and as they had been taught, reflected on the Master’s words.

One by one, the students got up to find find find cobblestones for the path.

Finally, only one student remained.

:” Master,” the student asked.

The Master turned to the student.

“why not a smooth path, so that we can go much faster around our school? So we can carry things easier and carry more things?”

“The Master stood for a moment and then said:

“what do you see when you are moving fast?”

“The student said: “I see the path ahead.”

“What do you see when the path is rough, and you must move slow?”

The student stood, “everything,” he said and went off to find a cobblestone.

  1. I guess that the path is either rough or smooth, depending more on the shoes that we are wearing, in our outer lives, at least, but in our soul, where we remain barefoot, the slower path to slow us down to see truth, is better than our skirting past it unawarely.
