Wander project Greenwood Indiana the snow of 2007

Over the many years, 11, we live in Greenwood Indiana (the longest amount of time in our marriage that we have lived in one place) there were many falls of snow. I shared the great snow of 2004 yesterday, it was around 10 inches of snow. The blizzard of 2007 dropped around 15 inches of snow. Add to that extremely cold air and the wind blowing 30 miles per hour and it was quite extreme.

So we stayed indoors. When we awoke that first morning, with the world covered in a white blanket it was fun to take the pictures you see in this collection. It was so cold we didn’t venture outside until much later in the day (the day began 3-5 degrees below 0).

The pictures show the front, the rear and the pond from various windows of the house. I wanted to show how deep the snow was so I took images of the patio furniture that we had for the pool area. Funny how quickly snow can bury furniture.

The blizzard of 2007, a three-day hiatus from leaving the house!
