Vrsic pass – the highest road crossing in Slovenia

Today, it was very hot in our country.

I decided to withdraw the heat so I went on a slightly longer trip to our beautiful Alpine world.

My goal was the Vrsic pass.

Vrsic pass is the highest road crossing in Slovenia and connects two provinces of Primorsko and Gorenjsko. Vrsic lies at an altitude of 1611 m.

The road to Vrsicis asphalted and leads from Kranjska Gora, past the Jasna Lake, mountain lodges, Erjavceva hut to Ticarjev mountain hut on Vrsic.

The road, built by Russian prisoners of war, passes through the heart of the Julian Alps and views from the path are easy to call after the stop.

When I arrived at Vrsic it was really wonderful … the temperature of the air was about 10 degrees lower than in the valley, the nature is wonderful, Sheep walked along the road so that I survived a really wonderful, unforgettable day.
