While we didn’t have a lot of time to explore during our recent trip to Arizona, we did visit the South Mountain Park/Preserve. At over 16000 acres, we barely scratched the surface of the park. Nonetheless, we were able to take in some lovely southwestern views. Our short hike treated us to some hilly but not too challenging trails that were well worn.
While there were many trail markers, the names had worn off in a few instances, and it wasn’t always easy to orientate ourselves properly too the map. Therefore, we did a number of short out and backs so as not to venture too far off the beaten path. Still, if we’d had more time, the South Mountain Area would be a wonderful area to explore further. Check out some of the pictures that we took during our hike.
Love AZ and those saguaros! Great shots Chris!
