Panorama: Chicago Skyline with Clouds (2013-05-22 18-19-16 to 18-19-37a)
This panoramic photo, one of the first I ever made, was taken at Montrose Point in Lincoln Park in Chicago, Illinois. It shows the Near North Side (the area just north of the Loop) from a distance of about 3 miles.
I used a Panasonic DMC-FZ50 with a Hoya linear polarizer to take the photo. The panorama was stitched together using Hugin and the exposure was corrected using ACDSee Pro 6.2.
Hugin is a free program which, while no longer being developed, is still available online. It is, however, very difficult to use. If I were doing this today I would have used Affinity Photo or Photoshop Elements to do the stitching. They are both much easier to use and will work on RAW files. (You can also use these programs to make adjustments to your image. Hugin only does the stitching.)

You could make a book of these and sell them. I think I have told you that before. Incredible.
Thanks, Carol. Maybe one day I’ll try that.
Well done! Nice post!
