Here is the view of Mangawhai Heads on the East Coast, North of Auckland. We went on Sunday and this was not our last stop before heading home.
It was a long day. Packed up a lunch and thermos of hot water and made coffee when ever we wanted it. Had sandwiches. A very easy way of dealing with food.
Mangawhai Heads is a holiday destination and some people retire here. Its a lovely place to live. One of many places that are so beautiful in New Zealand. This is also very much a good place to travel for the day and enjoy the trip and view.
I saw much of the art of “Kite Surfing”, this day and was amazed at the height the people flew from the surf into the sky. Kite Surfing is dangerous, it is a sport that you do with care. It is not for the faint hearted and it does not suffer fools gladly either. Yes, you can die doing this “Kite Surfing” Especially in the change of wind force. The wind can be swift then soft then speed up fast and if that rope is in the wrong place it can break your neck and death is instant. Mostly people take care and are safe.
