Boney James is one of the best smooth jazz saxophonists of all time. Off of the album futuresoul from 2015, the hit single is called “Vinyl.”
Before albums were recorded digitally, all music was recorded on vinyl records. For music to have been official, the music had to be placed on vinyl. That’s why this song is called “Vinyl.” When you listen to the song, then you will know that the music of Boney James has been official for over thirty years.
The “B” in Boney stands for BEST!!
Yes, it does! Seeing him in concert was an absolute blast.
That was an easy listen. Very nice! Thanks for sharing.
You are welcome! We do need some easy listening the way that this year has started.
No doubt about that. Thanks again.
nice song ahol , thanks for sharing
You are welcome – thank you for being willing to listen to something new.
love this, my first LP was Rock (Kansas, Point of known return) but my second was a New Orleands Jazz fest release.
Surprisingly, I live near Chicago, but I have never been to a jazz fest there. Fortunately, I have seen Boney James in concert twice.
but you do wander down to Halstead street right?
No, the times that I go to Chicago now, I usually go either downtown or to the northside around Irving Park. I haven’t been to Chicago in about a year and a half due to crime. Murders have gone down in Chicago, but physical assaults and robbery have gone up. However, I have been to Greek Town once on Halsted and it’s amazing.
there are also some jazz clubs there, and in Cicero.
I see you like jazz very much, dear friend
Yes, I do. There have been studies done where listening to either jazz music or classical music improves the memory and boosts creativity.
I just love to believe that this is not my most popular music …. we are different people and that’s right
